Camp Grandma MiMi

I know, I know - it has been like a month since the prior post. But I do have a good reason. Mike and I have been gone almost all month! We took the kids to Global Youth Ministries in June, then went on a World Changers pre-retreat the following week. The next week we moved into a House (AGH!!!!!), then we spent the week in Pensacola, FL with my parents and Eric and Malissa. Then we left the boys in Pensacola, while Mike and I came back and got ready to go to World Changers. We were gone for World Changers for a week, which was a told of THIRTEEN days that we were away from the babies.

While we were gone, my wonderful mom had the babies write Camp Letters every day. It was precious. The next several post will be the letters that they wrote:

Day One: They must of been sad that Mommy and Daddy left and busy adjusting to the camp schedule/rules. So no letters today.

Day Two:
First we had breakfast in the Mess Hall(scrambled eggs, oatmeal, bananas). Here I am singing that great ol' camp song "Everybody's eating scrambled eggs" at the top of my lungs! Love, Jeremiah

Here I am asking for "more" scrambled eggs. You know what the song says: "Nobody doesn't like scrambled eggs." Love, Michael

Here I am learning to eat with a spoon. I liked the idea of feeding myself, but the oatmeal tasted like gruel! I spit out every bite! I sure do miss your home cooking, Mommy! Love, Jeremiah

I LOVE feeding myself!! Why didn't I think of this sooner?! I took to it like a duck takes to water (du?? quack) I see a great future in food now! Love, Michael

Who makes this stuff? It's great!! Feeding myself: great! Life is good! Love, Michael

After breakfast, we went sailing on the high seas in our Bag Boat. We sang that great camp song "Yo ho, away we sail in our Bag Boat."

"In my Bag Boat . . . "

"Hoist the sails, matey!" "Aye-Aye, captain!"

He's not hoisting the sails.

Land ho!

We had watermelon for lunch and then we had a see-spitting contest! Michael got me right on the forehead!! Having fun, Wish you were here. Love, Jeremiah

Woo hoo!! Jeremiah hit me right between the eyes!! Love, Michael

After lunch, we went to Wood Working here at camp. I built this stool. Love, Jeremiah

I think I'll need to sand it down one more time.

We had a camp class on basic goat-herding. It was so hot outside so we brought the goats inside! Love, Michael

Dear Mommy and Daddy, Here I am on the afternoon of Day Two at Camp Grandma Mimi. It's very hot today so we are just chillin' this afternoon. Wish you were here, Love, Michael

During calisthenics class I learned to put my head and my feet on the floor and look upside down through my legs. I learned it from Grandma Mimi. The sights you see when you haven't got a gun! Love, Jeremiah

Here I am with my Camp Regulation Hat (CRH). I love it here at CGM!

I love wearing my CRH! I feel like it makes me look so . . so . . so . . . I hate to say it, but here it goes: CUTE!! Love, Michael

Michael told me I had to wear the Camp Regulation Hat but I just can't seem to put it on. I'll keep trying! Love, Jeremiah

Somebody please help me with this CRH.

Finally!

There's nothing like a rousing game of Camp Creep Mousie, Creep Mousie! We miss you and hope you are having fun with Aunt Wissa! Love, Michael and Jeremiah
