Day Seventy-Three: March 14, 2011 - Day Seventy-Five: March 16, 2011

I am WAY behind on the blogging and I think I just keep getting behind that it overwhelms me to catch up, so I just put it off. So to start updating I will do three days at a time until I am caught up!

So here it goes :)

Monday: Day Seventy-Three: March 14, 2011
Monday is our Bible Study days. I was running late that day and just made it for half of it, but was still blessed by it! I have LOVED our study, Breaking Free and the Lord has done so much in my walk with Him through it! I love it!

After the Bible Study I met Margaret and Natalie for an impromptu lunch! Margaret is a teacher at the High School and some seniors played a prank that required the whole school to be cancelled and so we were able to meet up for lunch! And Natalie was in Vidalia for her job and so she showed up at Zaxby's, so that was a very pleasant surprise! I love hanging out with both those girls and I am so thankful to the Lord that we have become friends!

A funny side story about them - they are also known as "106" and "107". Margaret and Natalie ordered their food as I waited with the boys at our table. They got their drinks and then stood up front talking. The lady called out "106, 107" and waited a few minutes, then called again "106, 107" waited and repeated this about 10 times! The whole time Natalie and Margaret are just talking away with no clue at all that this lady as impatiently called their numbers 10 times! Then they heard their number be called, which they assumed was the first time it was called! ha! When they got to the table I told them that the lady had been repeatedly calling their numbers! So now, they can be referred to as "106" and "107" (They'll answer now!)

Day #73: March 14, 2011

Tuesday: Day Seventy-Four: March 15, 2011
I made a bunch of these magnets the other day:

It is very easy - you just take clear stones and cut out fun things in magazines. Then glue it to the bottom of the stone with clear spray glue and then stick a magnet on it. Easy as Pie! (Is that a real phrase, because I have been using it a lot lately?)

The boys have LOVED them and they will take them all off the refrigerator and line them up to make a train! I love when they are working together and here Jeremiah stood on the chair to hand them to Michael for him to put in the right places! I love these kids!

Picking out the magnet he wants

Passing it on to Michael

Putting it in it's place!

Day #74: March 15, 2011

Wednesday: Day Seventy-Five: March 16, 2011
Honestly, other then church on Wednesday I don't remember at all what we did that day. So sorry :(

But the boys love to fly in the air like "Buzz Light" and they ask Mike to toss them "high in the clouds!" After church the boys kept asking Mike to throw them - so here is a picture of Michael in the nude in the sky!

Day #75: March 16, 2011

Sunday, March 13, 2011

Day Seventy-Two: March 13, 2011

Look at that! I posted the day after the catch up post!!! I may be back on schedule, we shall see!

What a good day today! As I sat on our pew at church, with 6 friends from TRBC in Montgomery with us, my heart was full of joy! And so thankful that the Lord has called us into the ministry! I love people. I love forming friendships with people. I love sitting in our current church, that I am so thankful for the Lord's goodness to us by allowing us to live and serve here in Soperton! We are so blessed and every Sunday I leave with more love for the folks here! I love sitting in our current church, with people from our former church with us! It is just a blessing and a sweet reminder of one of the best things about being in the ministry!

The Beaudry's and Gober's joined us in church this morning and then we all went to Cracker Barrel for lunch! It was a great time and a sweet time of fellowship. It was sad to see them leave, but they assured us that they would return soon and stay longer. We are holding them to that! :)

Day #72: March 13, 2011

Saturday, March 12, 2011

Another Catch-Up Post:
Day Sixty-Six: March 7, 2011 - Day Seventy-One: March 12, 2011

I know that it has been a week again since I posted. I apologize. I have been trying to not be on the computer as often and have been trying to go to bed earlier, so that has resulted in some things just not having top priority - But here is an update for you guys! :)

Monday: Day Sixty-Six: March 7, 2011
Not too much excitement for Monday. I had my Bible Study (that I am just loving and so thankful for!) in the morning and then we went to Bi-Lo afterwards to pick up a few things. I went to Wendy's with the boys afterwards for lunch and we ran into an old college friend and her husband there. We ate with them and had a great time just chatting and spending some time with them! It was such a fun treat!

Often it happens that we are near the end of the day and I haven't gotten a picture that day. This was that day. I tried to get one at dinner but Michael was not having anything to do with that. I couldn't get him to look at me and when he did it was to say "No picture either!" (When they put "either" on the end of their sentence they mean business!

Day #66: March 7, 2011

See? Business.

Tuesday: Day Sixty-Seven: March 7, 2011
I had a doctor's appointment today. Just a regular yearly check up. I had much anxiety built up around this appointment though. Remember all those fear struggles I have?!? Well, since I have been walking with the Lord on a mission to break this bondage, it has seemed much more difficult and the realization of what a stronghold it had on my life has been very present. The Lord led me to the passage in Psalm 91. I remember when I dealt with fear as a child, my grandmother told me to read this passage. For a long time I would go to sleep with it opened to that passage in my bed. I wrote Psalm 91 in a Moleskin Notebook and would pull it out all through the week. In a moment of fear/worry/not trusting the Lord, I would bring it out and pray through it. The day of my appointment I was reading Psalm 51 and came across a verse that said "For you desire truth in the most inward parts." This battle I have is in my thoughts and mind - He desires TRUTH from me - not fear, fear that is based on everything BUT Truth! I wrote that verse on my hand (sorry, Mom and Dad - I know I shouldn't write on my body :) ) and when a fearful thought came in my mind I would refer to it - He desires TRUTH! I have no reason to fear a doctor's appointment, but for some reason I just did. I was just uneasy - and so I kept pulling the Moleskin notebook out and praying through Psalm 91. As I drove home that afternoon from a VERY normal appointment I felt a peace and almost a sense of freedom. The truth is that I have no control of my life. The Truth is that HE is sovereign. The Truth is that HE is good. The Truth is that HE has ordained my life. The Truth is that I must REST in HIS truth. I know all this (I do), but Tuesday I felt that it was in my soul - like I got it! How I long for Truth to be in the most inward parts of me - all the time! The next day we were studying Psalm 107 (oh how that passage as ministered to my soul this week - in so many ways! How the Lord LONGS to and is ready to show compassion to His children when they cry out to him from their sin and despair!) in Psalm 107:20 it says "He sent out His word and healed them!" The Lord healed me this week through His word - in more ways then just the freedom I feel from fear. To apply God's Truth from His word to our lives is healing! It has been for me!

After I got home from the Dr. we went out to eat at Ruby Tuesday's with Malissa. I had a GREAT coupon :) and so we all enjoyed the meal and the boys did great! I must say that I am very proud of their public eating manners :) Makes for a happy meal by all!

Day #67: March 8, 2011

Malissa sat in the back of our car in between the boys - they got a kick out of that and loved playing with her!

Wednesday: Day Sixty-Eight: March 9, 2011
We didn't do much Wednesday. Just lounged around. It stormed, so we weathered that and then went on to church.

Day #68: March 9, 2011

Typical Boy!

Thursday: Day Sixty-Nine: March 10, 2011
Thursday was an eventful day:

1.) We had a phone conference with a tax guy that was VERY encouraging and informative! We have had a time trying to figure out what to do with our 2010 taxes and how to set up our 2011 taxes. See minister's taxes are just down right confusing! We can't figure this out on our own, so we need help! We have had several people "help" but it has been a bit frustrating and we were not comfortable sending out taxes to them. So we have prayed for wisdom, discernment, and peace and for the Lord to make it clear in our conversation with this guy, if this is who we needed to use! And He did - during the meeting, Mike wrote on a paper that this was the guy - and I agreed! We have so much peace and a huge weight it lifted off our shoulders!

2.) My new vacuum came in! My old one broke in pieces - not mechanical broke, but physical broken - literally into pieces! So I found the one I have been wanting on Amazon - originally for $130 - on sale for $97. I opened an Amazon account and got an immediate $30 off and I had $15 in Swagbucks gift cards! So I paid $52! So excited. And it works great - it has a cord "wrapper" - you press a button and it wraps the cord up! the boys LOVE to press the button for me!

3.) I mopped my wood floors for the first time since we moved here! No, we are not messy people - actually I like to believe that we keep a very clean, orderly home, but these wood floors NEVER looks dirty! It is amazing - I love it! But now, they are a tad bit shinier and just the thought of them being extra clean makes this clean momma's heart happy!

Day #69: March 10, 2011

Friday: Day Seventy: March 11, 2011
I finished cleaning our house for company that was coming and then made a quick trip to Vidalia to pick up a few things that we needed. There I found some Thomas the Train Pj's on sale! (This made for two SUPER happy toddlers!)

Then I ran to CVS to pick up these three things for $2.48

Transaction #1: Shick Razor:
- $8.99 - $2 Coupon = $6.99 - $6.58ECB = .41 (with $5 ecb back)

Transaction #2: Gillett Razor:
- $9.99 - $4 Coupon = $5.99 - $5ECB = .99 (with $4 ecb back)

Transaction #3: Eye Solution:
- $7.99 - $3 Coupon = $4.99 - $4ECB = .99 (with $4 ecb back)

I love CVS!

Then I rushed home to change and pick up Mike and the boys and we went to our Alma Mater, Brewton-Parker College to watch a baseball game that a couple from TRBC in Montgomery came down to watch. The Gobers grandson plays baseball for Faulkner and they were playing BPC in a tournament this weekend. So they came down and we got to spend the evening with them. It was so much fun! We watched the rest of the game with them and then we went to dinner in Vidalia. We are so blessed to know them - they are so sweet and just pure joy to be around!

Day #70: March 11, 2011

Mrs. Becky with Jeremiah

Saturday: Day Seventy-One: March 12, 2011
I can describe today in one word: joy!

Our really good friends, The Beaudry's drove from Montgomery this morning to spend the weekend with us! How we love them! One thing I love about the ministry is the people!!! I am so thankful that the Lord allows us to live life with people and share in this journey with them!

After lunch today we took the Beaudry's on a tour of Soperton. Then we cooked dinner, fellowshipped and played a fierce game of pictionary on the Wii. It was fun and the Beaudry's bring with them much laughter! They are just fun to be with! Before we really knew them, I would love to sit at the same table they sat at during Sunday School - watching the two of them interact with each other is one of the greatest sights! You just have to experience it to know - it's great!

Day #71: March 12, 2011

Kelley told us if we put our ears to the tracks you could hear the trains - we didn't hear a thing!

Sunday, March 6, 2011

Major Catch Up Post!
Day Fifty-Eight: February 27, 2011 -
Day Sixty-Five: March 6, 2011

Wow - I am so sorry for the big lack in posting. Our week just came and it went crazy! We went out of town the first of the week for Mike to get his braces off! And after ten months the braces are GONE! Whoo hoo! His teeth look great and I am so thankful that we did it!

It is late so this will just be a quick catch up with the photos and a brief description of that day! :) Next week should be slower, so I promise that I will do better at getting back to doing it daily!

Sunday - Day #58: February 27, 2011
Church.
Went to Moe's with the Beall's.

Day #58: February 27, 2011

Monday - Day #59: February 28, 2011
I had my Bible Study Monday morning and Mike went with me and spent the time with the Pastor of FBC Lyons. He learned so much from talking with him during those 2 hours and found it very beneficial. One thing Dannie told him was that wherever he is ministering at he believes and acts like he will be there for life. We loved this! When the Lord was molding my heart towards Soperton and I was in the thick of the "heart transition" I told Mike that if we went then we couldn't be there more then a few years (this was my total flesh speaking and prior to the Lord changing things) - at this exact time (a day after I said that) we were studying Isaiah 6 at BSF and we were focusing on the part where the Lord says "Who will go for me" and Isaiah (prior to knowing the mission) quickly said "Here I am send me!" then Isaiah asked "How long oh Lord" and the Lord replied basically - until it's down, until I say so! The Lord used this to convict my words, my heart, and my actions. And I knew at that moment that the Lord wanted longevity to be our desire. And that our desire would ultimately be what was in His will for our lives! There is much freedom in serving in a place with the desire to serve for life - to operate like this is where we will be in ministry for years to come - not operating in "stepping stone" mindset! I just loved this!!!

After the Bible Study we went to Montgomery for Mike to get his braces off. His appointment wasn't until Tuesday so we spent some time with some friends.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the boys today :( I guess I totally messed up my resolution with that one! Oh well - it makes me sad, but it is what it is.

Tuesday - Day #60: March 1, 2011
Braces came off!
Surprised some students from TRBC at school!
Traveled back home!

Day #60: March 1, 2011

The boys came with us to the orthodontist and this is Jeremiah snuggling with Mike. They kept saying "Daddy's teeth off."

Wednesday - Day #61: March 2, 2011
We had a slow morning - we had been up very late the previous night and so it was tough to get things moving that morning. We went to a lunch at a ladies house that was hosting a "Day of Prayer." The boys went with us and Michael put on a show for those ladies - he definitely knows when people think he is cute and funny - he is a ham!

That evening was church and after church Mike normally spends a long time putting them to bed to play with them, since he doesn't have a chance to play with them during the day on Wednesdays.

Normally while we change the boys in their PJ's they work on building a train track. Jeremiah is out little engineer! He can build a track and make it go several directions and he is very specific with it. I love this about him!

Jeremiah scraped his elbow on the slide and is very quick to show it off! He is proud of it! He fell and scraped his knee the other day so now he has two boo boo's to show off!

Day #61: March 2, 2011

I love their faces in this pic!

Thursday - Day #62: March 3, 2011
We went to Dublin to eat at CFA with Amy and her kiddos. After that we ran errands that went longer than expected and we didn't get home until 4:15. The boys fell asleep in the car 10 minutes before we got home, so I quietly got the groceries from the car and let them finish their nap in their. No fears - the weather was so nice so it wasn't hot nor cold, and Mike was outside washing his truck so he was watching them the whole time (We aren't silly neglectful parents ya know!)

Day #62: March 3, 2011

Friday - Day #63: March 4, 2011
We had company Friday night, so I spent most of the day in Vidalia at the grocery store. I had a GREAT trip - I spent $20 and Saved $89! Sweet!!! I love this - Bi-Lo is getting better and better to me.

That evening, our company came over and we had a great time! We love people and it is important to us to live life with people - so I LOVE having company :)

Day #63: March 4, 2011

The boys made a train on their own - this is what Michael does when we said "smile" - love him!

Saturday - Day #64: March 5, 2011
We had a joint choir even Saturday (and Sunday) in Metter. It was with 4 other churches singing about 10 songs! It was so good and a very worshipful time! It was so neat to see 4 churches come together under the name of Christ.

Before the event I went with my friend, Margaret, to Statesboro to eat at Mellow Mushroom (best Pizza!!!) and go to Hobby Lobby (oh how I have missed Hobby Lobby). We didn't get to spend a lot of time there b/c we had to get to Metter, but enough time for me to buy some canvases and items to make cool magnets. I love Hobby Lobby!

Earlier in the day during Blanket time, Michael managed to get the Wii Remote and find the movie "UP" on Netflix and press play. I am still in shock on how he did that! That may be a sign we watch too many cartoons on Netflix! (But seriously, How did he figure this out!?!)

Day #64: March 5, 2011

Sunday - Day #65: March 6, 2011
Church was fabulous this morning! Mike's sermon was right on target! He spoke on the Local Church and why we are to be apart of the Church and committed to it! It was just what we needed to hear! Once again, I LOVE sitting under his teaching! I am so blessed!

We got home from church and before Mike could even get completely out of his dress clothes before he grabbed his gun and went to shoot squirrels! *sigh* He set up a squirrel trap and has caught three so far. The boys love it when Mike goes out to shoot squirrels and they hand him the pellets for the gun.

Day #65: March 6, 2011

Look how cute they all are!
