Well - Mike and I have been discussing this in great length and I think we might have our names. The other night, Mike and I were talking and sharing our thoughts on names. We really want our children to have names that mean something and have value. So Mike wanted me to write down a list of our names so he can pray about them. Yesterday, we were leaving for our date and he said "You trust my spiritual leadership, right?" I said, "Of Course!" and then he said he thinks he has the names - very excited I inquired on his decision - and I really like them!
Baby A will be Michael Dean Spivey and Baby B will be Jeremiah Haddon Spivey. They are not typical "TWIN" names like I thought we were going to do, but we really like this choice!
Michael Dean is after both grandfathers (My dad is Michael, and Mike's dad is Dean - also Mike's name is Michael - of course you know that.) This might pose some confusion since my nephew's name is MIchael, dad is Michael and Mike is Mike - but I am sure he will create his own recognition to avoid confusion. (I.E. Nephew Michael was "baby Michael" for a while.) We just really wanted to name a son after Dad and Mike's dad so we really liked this choice. Michael means "One who is like the Lord."
Jeremiah Haddon is a name we have wanted to name a son since before we even got married. Jeremiah is after the prophet in the Bible and it means "Jehovah will uplift". Jeremiah, like Mike, was called at a young age to proclaim the word of God and he was concerned about his age and abilitly to speak. Mike was drawn to this passage during his call to the ministry:
"The word of the Lord came to me saying, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." "Ah, Sovereign Lord," I said, "I do not know how to speak, I am only a child." But the Lord said to me, "Do not say, 'I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the Lord. Then the Lord reached out His hand and touched my mouth and said to me, "Now, I have put my words in your mouth." Jeremiah 1:4-9
Haddon is after the preacher from the 1800's Charles Haddon Spurgeon. He is one of Mike's most influential preachers and authors.
Our prayer for these boys is that they grow up walking with the Lord and will be obedient to His calling in their lives!

You guys did real good on your selections!
Those are two solid names WITH good meanings. You'll be glad that you put so much thought AND prayer into it.
I hope that all four of you are doing well.
yay for names picked out. I really like them-of course I already told you that-but the more I think on them I like them even better :)
Love the names! Molly, I'll still route for Coursen with you if you have another boy later on.
Molly,
GREAT names. I like it that they are not typical "twin" names.
love,
Suz
