Sippy Cups!

We have been in Montgomery for a week now, and I think we are fully unpacked and put away! Whoo Hoo! My mom and Malissa came up to help, so that was a huge help! Unfortunately my mom couldn't stay long and had to go back home on Monday - how we miss her!!! *The boys are telling me everynight that they want to see their Grandma MiMi!!*

We have waited until we were settled to start the boys on solids - and the time has come! I went to Wal-Mart today and bought some Rice Cereal, spoons, sippy cups, water, apples, pears, carrots, sweet potatoes, and green beans! We introduced the boys to sippy cups tonight and tomorrow we will introduce them to Rice Cereal. We have made the choice to make our own baby food, so I bought the necessary ingredients and will begin making batches of food and freezing them! It will save us some money, and I think it is going to be a lot of fun as well! I will be sure to take pictures tomorrow and post them! But for now, here are some pictures of them with their sippy cups today. It took Jeremiah a few tries but he picked it up rather quickly - Michael did it first try! Way to go boys!!!

What a big boy!

I will post pictures of our apartment tomorrow along with the ones from their foods!

How Grandma Mimi misses those babies! I checked the blog all day just waiting for pictures. Gran and I went to the symphony tonight and it was wonderful. And then I get back home and there are new pics - - well, it has been a good day! I'll see you soon! (Don't grow up too much, Michael and Jeremiah, before I see you again!) XOXOXOXO G-Mimi

We love the straw sippies. I think boys are made to eat! We made our own baby food too! I recommend http://wholesomebabyfood.com/ and Super Baby Food by Ruth Yaron (we do not follow everything as she uses mostly organic foods and lots of nutritional enhancers that we just don't have the money for!) but she has lots of good ideas for food, saving money, and thinking outside of the box.
