We had lots of fun practicing! I also made two batches of foods today as well - pears and apples! Tomorrow I will be making Green beans, sweet potatoes, and bananas! It was so much fun - I took some pictures of the process for your enjoyment.
We also had another exciting surprise today - my good friend from Jacksonville, Christina came to visit us with her son Benton. Christina and I did summer missions together for two summer and we had not seen each other since our wedding - what a treat!
Here are some pictures (and videos) of our exciting day today!
Our day started off exciting. Jeremiah woke up early, and while Mike and Jeremiah were waiting for me to get ready to feed, he fell back asleep. We had to take a picture, because that rarely happens. They were both so sleepy!

Gotta wash that down!

Here is how I made the batches so far:
Here are the pears
I cut the pears and put them in the dish
I cut and pealed apples and put them in a pot to boil
Once they are cooked I pureed them in the blender
Poured them into ice trays and froze them
I made a total of 64 ounces of baby food. All for $4.45! (And two hours of work!)

Yay-looks like they did great! :) The pictures are so cute...love it!
We have made all our own baby food, and I just wanted to tell you that the BIG jar of unsweeted applesauce is the same as making your own. So you can usally get 36 oz. for about 1.36 or 1.58 (depending on the place you buy), we always bought that for our little ones.
may want to buy jar baby food for carrots (those have to be tested for the amount of something in them to keep them safer for babies). Those are the one food that can get dangerous to make at home. I can't think of what it is off the top of my head.
