Seeing some old friends!

Today was a special day. Not because I actually got to go grocery shopping for THREE hours by myself, while my husband (actually I think it was Mary Lynne) fed the boys dinner; Not because I got all the laundry done today, and not because I found some fun fresh flowers - but because I got to see some old friends today!

During college I spent my summers doing summer mission at a ministry in Jacksonville called Words to Works. It is an inner-city ministry that does backyard Bible clubs in the project housing there in Jacksonville. This place has helped form who I am today and I never look back with any regret of how I spent my college summers. The Lord did more in my life there then I could have ever imagined!

Mrs. Teresa and I

Well, the pastor's wife (who looking back I realize how much she mentored me during those years) was bringing her daughter back to college that is near our town. We were able to find a town that was a central location for both of us and we met and had a late lunch. It was so nice to be able to visit with her, her daughter and her youngest son (Whom I haven't seen since he was 2 months old - and now he is 4 years old and the cutest thing EVER!) It was wonderful to catch up with them and I love that Mrs. Teresa got to meet the boys - she checks the blog EVERY day for updates (Sorry that I disappoint lately with lack of posts - yet she still checks it!)

Here are a few pics that she took from the afternoon:
