Wow! What a deal!!!

I have only done Rite Aid once before and didn't have much success that would make me want to go back to it. HOWEVER, a deal I noticed on the SouthernSavers.com website made me think twice about it.

This was the deal:
Herbal Essence Products (Shampoo, Conditioner, Styler Products) BUY ONE GET ONE FREE

I just ran out of moose so I was excited to see a good deal on it and I knew I had some coupons that could go along with this. So this is what I got:

For all of that I paid .49! Yes, you read that correct - FORTY NINE CENTS!

This is how I did it:
I bought
(5) Shampoo
(3) Moose
(2) Gel
(all of it was priced at $4.49)
(1) John Frieda Frizz-Ease Hair Spray ($6.49)

I used (4) Buy One Get One Free Coupons that were found in the paper on Sunday.
and a FREE Herbal Essence Shampoo coupon (That was a promotion Herbal Essence was doing a few weeks ago).
So I bought 5 (used the 5 coupons) and got 5 free with the store deal.
I also had a $1 off coupon for any Herbal Essence product. I can use that with a buy one get one free coupon because the BOGO coupon is for the FREE one not the one I buy - so I a using the $1 off for the other item.
You may wonder how a BOGO coupon can work on a deal that is already buy one get one free. I am purchasing TWO items - the store priced one of them at ZERO (I am still purchasing it). The manufacturer is paying for the other item. The store is still getting their money, just not from me.

Because all of that with the hair spray came up to about $29 (before coupons) I used a $5 off $25 coupon for Rite Aid.

After my 5 BOGO coupons it made all ten items FREE and then I had the $1 off coupon that made it $1 in overage. Throw in the $5 off coupon and I now had $6 in overage. Rite Aid will not pay me, so I grabbed the hairspray for $6.49 - Because of the $6 in overage this made the hairspray .49 - which was my total for the entire purchase!
