If I didn't buy coffee...

Yesterday was a great shopping trip for me. It was the first time that in my whole order I HAD to buy something else because they would have had to pay me (which they can't do!)

I bought all of this:

and had an overage of $3.27!!!

So I then bought Mike's coffee. I chose the large 4 pack because it came up cheaper individually. This is the only coffee he will drink and will not budge on the whole "I don't have a coupon for it" phrase! So, he is allowed one W.B. item (ask me later what the WB is for - it is a rather humorous story!) and he chose coffee to be that item - so coffee it is!

The coffee cost $11.49, so with my overage of $3.27 it only cost me $8.22!!!

So, I bought all that was pictured above - that was worth $80.83 for $8.22 (plus the crazy expensive 10% tax, blah!)

I also went to CVS and bought:

(2) Gillette Shampoo+Body Wash
(2) Gillette Deodorant
(1) Gillette Fusion Razor

I used coupons for each item and also had a $5 off $30 purchase coupon.
I paid with a $7.99 ECB and got back $10 in ECB - yep, that is a $2.01 PROFIT!!!!
(of course, not counting that awful, hideous tax - but I pay that with my $25 gift card I got when Michael got a prescription)

On to family things:

Yesterday, Mike and I celebrated our five year wedding anniversary! The Lord has been so good to us these past five years. Looking back we can see tangible and non-tangible ways that the Lord has provided for us, taught us, was gracious to us, disciplined us, loved us, and blessed us! Of course our two biggest blessing are those little boys that He gave us to raise in the admonition of Him! We have had many, many sweet moments with each other and the Lord these past five years and we cannot be more thankful for the joy of marriage. I can not thank the Lord enough for giving me a husband that longs to lead his family to righteousness! The knowledge of scripture that Mike has is so challenging to me and I look forward to him continuing to teach it to me and to our children! May the Gospel always be on our lips and within our home! I am thankful for a husband that is going to do what he can to make sure that happens! I hope for the next 80+ years I can be a wife to Mike that is honorable to the Lord and that will be a good presentation of the Gospel.

We had plans to go out to dinner and a movie, but wow did our plans change! First, Michael got sick on Thursday night and began wheezing and having a hard time breathing, so I took him to the doctor (Thankfully our doctor's office stays open late) and turns our he has an ear infection and the croup (and SIX teeth coming in). He told us to prepare for Jeremiah to get it (or something from the germ) which he did get it! So, we decided to stay put instead of going on. I was fine with it and it really became a sweet reminder of two special ways the Lord has blessed us in our marriage through the blessing of parenting! So, Mike ran out to finally get a hair cut and shave his beard, then he went to get a movie and pick up Olive Garden for our anniversary dinner. Before he made it to Olive Garden, some plans that he had fell through and he ran to the church to sing some old southern gosepl music to a Sunday School class Christmas party. They enjoyed him and he had a great time fellowshipping with those sweet ladies! So, our Olive Garden stayed at Olive Garden but he brought home some yummy food that some older woman in the church made! It was so good!

So we sat on the living room eating yummy christmas food and exchanged our anniversary gifts! It was a sweet time. I got Mike a Harbor Frieght Tool gift card - he was ecstatic to have some money to buy tools with (he already went and spent every penny!) and Mike got me the Willow Tree Nativity Set! I have wanted it for years and every Christmas season I find myself in Lifeway looking at it and hoping it could be in my living room one day! Well the day as come!!! I am so excited about it and look forward to bringing it out and having it be a family christmas decoration memory! There are many more pieces that you can get with it and Mike said every year we can had to it piece by piece!!!

The boy and I are staying put from church tomorrow to try to get them better and hopefully they will both feel better soon! Here are a few pics of the boys to hold y'all over until the next post :)
