Seriously? TWO years old ALREADY?!?! It doesn't seem so!
But it is. April 10th, 2010 our little babies turned two years old! Guess they aren't "babies" anymore. These past two years have been full of 100% pure joy! We are so thankful to the Lord for these blessings.... what blessings they are!
Here are their two year stats:
Michael is 23.8 pounds and Jeremiah is 24.8 pounds. They are both 5% percentile in height and Michael is 5% in weight and Jeremiah is 10% in weight.
They are talking up a storm and making very good sentences. Their common sentences are: "Where did _________ go?" (blank could be Daddy, Duck, Cup, anything they are looking for); "I love you _________" and Jeremiah is really good and saying "I love you TOO" after you tell him you love him. Another common sentence is "I want a ___________" I try to say "May I please have ______" after he says it everytime but when he looks at me and says "I want a pretel (Pretzel)" It is so adorable - they way he says pretzel melts my heart! :)
The doctor said that they have completely caught up physically and developmentally with other 2 year olds - so I am pleased that we no longer have to factor in the preemie birth. Although I was talking to another mom the other day and said that it was nice to have them do things longer because I was able to enjoy the "baby" stages longer! Those sweet boys are so sweet to me!
I opted out of having a party this year - we were going out of town the next day and decided to save all of my parties ideas when they are a bit older. My sister-in-law came into town and we just made a little cake and had some close friends come over for cake and ice cream. It was low-key and very enjoyable! Here are some pics from the party:
