We are ready for summer!!!

Well, a lot of you guys have asked about our moving plans so I thought I would blog about it. Mike and I are ending this chapter in our lives and moving the end of this month to Pensacola, FL. We will be staying with my parents until the Lord leads us to a church. We are excited about the chance to get lots of rest and relaxation and we look forward to watching my parents and grandparents love on these boys of ours - How Special!

We went to the pediatrician today and the boys are doing well. Michael weighs 8lbs8oz and Jeremiah weighs 8lbs11oz! I asked the doctor about swimming and being outside this summer and he said just to make sure we put glasses on them and keep them mostly in the shade. He said they can even go swimming - which is exciting since my parents have a pool. We just have to stay inside from 11-2 due to the heat and sun exposure at those times. So Mike and I went straight over to Babies R Us and found these really cute sun hats and glasses! They are too cute in them!

Our only concern right now with the boys is that Michael is a little behind in developmental things for his age - mostly with his head control. Jeremiah is a tad behind, but not as much as Michael is. The doctor said that we now need to expect them to do things at their adjusted age. (Adjusted age is the age that they would have been if they were born full term. Their due date was May 11th - so their actual age is 10 weeks, but their adjusted age is 6 weeks). So, even for their adjusted age, they are still behind a little bit. Michael is having a hard time gaining control of his head and his muscle in his neck is stiff and so he springs his head to the right (which is causing a flat spot on his head). He gave us more exercises to do with him and we just need to be consistent with them and hopefully it will help him get stronger. He suggested that right when we move to find a pediatrician in Florida and have them start working on it with him.

Well - my dear mom is flying up on Sunday to help us pack - pray we can get it done in a week - because, well, I have twins and things just don't happen quickly with me anymore!

That is nice to know about the swimming...the boys look really cute in their glasses and hats. Chloe has gone to the pool with us but has always sat in her stroller in her swim suit and with lots of sunscreen.

Love the pictures! We hate to see the Spiveys leave Louisville. Now, I'm going to have to let Ryan keep cable TV because we can't bumm off of you all for UGA games anymore!
