My mom left today. :(

The day came. My mom left this afternoon to go back home. She came a little over two weeks ago and was SUCH a big help. She deep cleaned my whole house so that I wouldn't have to do it when Mike's family comes up, and she really helped me get things set and ready to go for the boys. She helped me so much in taking care of the boys and would do a lot of the night feedings so that we could get as much rest at night as we could. She really helped me get back on my feet - she cooked and went grocery shopping for us and helped me get ready for meals for the next few weeks. She is such a blessing to us and we are so thankful that she got to come and help us and spend time with the boys! We are REALLY going to miss her - we had a lot of fun being able to spend time with her as she helped us with her grandsons!

Thank you Mom! We love you!

Sniff, sniff, sniff, sniff. Sob, sob, sob, sob. (That's one for each of you.) :( I had so much fun with y'all. Thanks for letting me come. I'm praying for y'all and I know you'll do just fine. And trust me . . . one day you'll get to do other things besides nurse and pump!
Love and kisses,
Mom

I just thought of something. by any chance...while your mom was there did you sleep through nursing sessions? That could be a reason you have an infection. Sleeping through and not emptying your milk ducts and not changing your nursing pads will do that (that one will give you a yeast infection).

Just trying to give you some ideas on how to keep it from coming back.

God is amazing that when we have the most milk is when the babies wake the most to eat. Not letting them nurse at every session will cause the infections. Try getting up and feeding them at every session for about a week. It should help empty the ducts better.

hang in there...also the sheild will help a lot with the healing of the cracks in the skin.
