Day Forty: February 9, 2011

I am wanting to blog more on what the Lord is doing in my life and in the life of my family, but the words just aren't connecting themselves yet and it is late and too hard for me to try to put into words the work that the Lord is doing. So, I will tell you what we did today and in the quietness of the early morning will try to write it all down. Even if no one reads this just to have in written form the journey that the Lord is taking us on physically (boys, day-to-day activities, etc) and spiritually (freedom from bondage that there was awareness about and sanctification in areas that I had accepted as "Who I am" when in reality that isn't who I am in Christ. - make sense?)

So today :)

Mike and I went to Dublin today - he had to go to the hospital to make a visit and there were somethings at Kroger I wanted to get. So we all went and before Kroger we ate at Chick-Fil-A - I had some free coupons (We have the hook up for real :) ) and so it was FREE - every bit of it! That is my type of dining!

I felt that I did good at Kroger. I spent $25.62 and saved $15. Now normally I wouldn't consider that great - I like to save AT LEAST as much as I have spent and ideally save much more then I have spent. But I got all necessity items today! Eggs, Milk, Yogurt, Bananas, Grapes, Bell Peppers, Onions, Cheese (lots of cheese). My favorite deal of today was that I found Horizon Organic Milk Half Gallon on "Managers Special" for $2.29. It was normally $4.49 but was on sale because it was close to expiring. (But my boys can drink a half gallon in a day if I let him - so expiration dates don't scare me in regards to milk!) I had a $1 off coupon so I got the half gallon for $1.29! I was really excited about that one!

I felt like a "wise couponer" today. Bought things we NEEDED, that were good for us, and all on sale! Success.

The boys absolutely LOVE playing on the playground at Chick-Fil-A. We have to sit in the back section where the playground is not in view if we are going to have any chance of the boys putting food into their mouths and consumed into their bodies. When it is time to play they are all pumped up and run right to the door to go out! I have been so proud of them because they have been so good about coming down the slide when I tell them it is time to go and for leaving in a very pleasant manner from that super fun playground! They are at the stage where many things that we have been teaching and training them for the past, almost, 3 years is clicking - and we are trusting that things were are trying to teach them now we will soon also see fruit from that!

Cute! :) I look forward to reading everything you are learning! I love the handprints picture-I can't (or am choosing not to:) wash the mirror in our bedroom because there is a handprint on there from when we moved... :)
