Day Forty-Two: February 11, 2011

Last night (Friday) Mike and I went out on our free (Sort of) date! It was too much fun and I am so thankful that we have decided to do this more often! We have a great babysitter, Danielle - the boys love her and at 3 in the morning I went to check on them and they both were awake and said "Where Ms. Daniel?" - She told me tonight that when she told them to get in their beds they tricked her and went to the wrong ones. How is it that this has started this early!??! I see many more times in the future when the boys will trick many, many people! ha!

We went to Longhorn Steakhouse for our date. We got a late start because Mike had to go by the funeral home before we left. (Side Note: Mike has been to more funeral's in the first month of full-time pastorate ministry then he has been in his whole entire life!) On the way to Dublin Mike had the GREAT idea of calling ahead to get our name in. Considering it was Valentine's Day weekend and Friday it was PACKED! When we got there you couldn't even get in the door and there had to be at least 45 people waiting - seriously. But because of Mike's great idea, by the time we got to the desk to tell them we were here they took us RIGHT to our seat! I am pretty sure those 45 people, who didn't know we called ahead, were furious! Way to go Mike!

Dinner was great. Movie was great. The company was great. He's fun and I love him. ;)
