Got Milk?

It's official - I AM A COW! Because the boys are still not exclusively breast feeding, I have to pump at least 8 times a day to establish my milk supply. This can be quite annoying, because I try to breast feed a baby each time and then AFTER I feed him, I have to turn around and pump. Half of my milk goes towards their daily bottles with the simply thick and the other half goes in the freezer for a rainy day (since this milk will stay good for 3 months, we need lots of rainy days to use it up!) As of 10:45pm I have 104 ounces of breast milk in the freezer. I have to continue pumping until both boys are feeding well - hopefully that will be soon!

MOOO!

it's actually not recommended for breastmilk to be stored in the freezer door...it doesn't last as long b/c of the wide temperature changes when the door is opened/closed. fyi.

....I was just going to post the same thing as above. Keep it away from the walls and the door. In the middle as far back as possible is the best for it. THe warm air everytime you open the door can warm the milk enough for bacteria to grow on it and spoil the milk.

Looks like you are doing well.
