Physically, I am not feeling real well - I am real achy and sore. I think my breasts have gotten engorged - hopefully once my milk comes in it will feel better. I think that is why I feel worse - I feel like I have a fever - real shaky, my skin hurts, I feel cold but hot at the same time. We were going to go back up to feed the boys this evening, but I had to make a HARD decision and not go because I am just not feeling well at all. I knew I would be too tired, sick, and emotional to even hold them. So we are going to go up there in the morning and stay at least until lunch. The boys are just too cute to stop holding and loving on. We are still in awe that they are born and that God entrusted us with them.
The boys are improving every time we go see them. Michael is done with his feeding tubes and is feeding solely by mouth. When I fed him this morning he took to the breast for 30 minutes straight and was doing a great job at sucking. If he doesn't have any more issues with his heart rate, then he will be coming home in 5-6 days. Jeremiah is completely off of his oxygen and his starting to take things by the mouth. I held them skin to skin again this morning, and while I was holding them Jeremiah was doing very good with his oxygen, so they took it out to see what he would do. He kept it at a 100 and it stayed up all day. If I wasn't holding him it was in the low-upper nineties - while I was holding him it would be at a 100. So, he just needs to work on eating and keeping his heart rate up.
Here are some pictures of them today! They sure are cutie-pies! (nobody can deny that! :) )

Hey I found a couple of websites on engorgement-I hope you are able to get some relief:)
conn/breast.engorge.html

engorgement-topic-overview
-I was going to say that what helped the most for me was putting very warm wash cloths on before nursing-but I found this on a site-so be sure not to leave them on for too long..."Moist warmth for a few minutes before nursing may help the milk begin to flow (but will not help with the edema/swelling of engorgement). Some suggest standing in a warm shower right before nursing (with shower hitting back rather than breasts) and hand expressing some milk, or immersing the breasts in a bowl or sink filled with warm water. Avoid using warmth for more than a few minutes as the warmth can increase swelling and inflammation."
-Anyway, I'm sure you will just have to try a few different things until you find what works.
-Also-the lactation consultant at the Best Kid's number is (270)307-3287 and you can call her anytime-even evenings and weekends, so you could call her tomorrow for more tips to help. Her name is Melissa Wilson. :) I hope you get some rest, and I think you made a wise decision not to go see the boys-even though I am sure it was really difficult...Take care-we are praying for you, and we know God is/will give you everything you need to make it through this time, even though it is so so hard... :)
Okay, I'll start the different/same game. I think they look different. Michael's eyes are more straight across. Jeremiah's eyes are slanted up a little more in the nose bridge area.
Those boys will be home before you know it! And Molly, you'll be back on your feet soon too.
Be still and know that He is God. He set the boundaries of the seas, the winds and the waves obey His voice, He knows the beginning from the end. Use this time to rest in Him and think about the fact that this situation with the boys is in His control.
We are praying for the little lads and for your speedy recovery and for Mike, the head of this little family (that just doubled in size!).
We love y'all,
Mom
XOXOXOXO

Molly looks like things are going well. Engorgement really doesn't happen until your milk comes in, and if it hasn't already it will very soon and it will be the worst feeling in the world.
Now I am not trying to upset you or make anyone angry....I have GOOD NEWS! It will last about 10 days then it will be GREAT! I wish someone would have told me that when I had my first!
What you are feeling now is the glads letting down the Colsturm and switching over to make milk. It make them tender and sore.
Hopefully pumping will help you out. I used to nurse my baby, then after I still could have pumped 8-10 oz. per side. When your milk comes in and you are really FULL of milk, nurse the babies or pump what they would "usually take" (ask dr. waht that would be prob. about 1/2-1.5 oz per feeding) then pump just a tad more to help relieve the pain.
Your body will over produce then after it figures out how much the babies really need it will adjust to that. So if you continue to pump a lot more than they take, then your body will continue to make taht amount thinking the babies are eating all it. etc.
Hope that make since to you. Talk to you soon.
Molly and Michael,
It may seem hard now, but the Lord has gotten you this far. He is going to keep helping you along the way. You have lots of love and support from your CAPS family. We are just a phone call away if you need anything.
By the way, your boys are so handsome. We can't wait to see them!!
Love,
Karen and the gang
