Day 7: January 7, 2011

Today was a sweet day - with the boys and Mike.

After the boys tossed and turned most of the night (Well actually just Michael - he wined in his sleep through most of the night, not sure why, but I am pretty sure he was asleep through most of it), and I had crazy dreams and thoughts in the night - (at one point I stood up next to the bed saying "Why did there have to be five of them?!" - I can remember being frustrated in my dreams about something that had too many components to it, but can't remember exactly what!) Mike got up with the boys and let me sleep until 9:30! It was so blissful and I felt like I slept better in the 2 1/2 hours than I did in the night. I woke up very refreshed!

The boys got their toys back today (After two days of toy restriction!) The past two days they would go to the play room door and ask to play and I would remind them that we put all the toys up! Michael would just say "Ohhhh Yea" (it is so cute) and I would remind them why. Today the toys came back and everytime they fought with them and say the word "Mine" we would say that nothing is theirs! I would have them repeat and say "Nothing is Mine." We talked alot today about that everything belongs to God and He is letting us play with so we don't need to be selfish and greedy with what God has given us. When they would yell "Mine!" (when just his brother would look in the direction of the toy) I would say "That is not yours - who's toy is that?" and they would exclaim "Jesus!" and at one point today after the discussion Michael played for a minute with the golden toy and ON HIS OWN said "here ya go" and let Jeremiah play with - My heart needed that! :)

They were so much fun today and just mostly hyper all day! They hyperness sometimes includes Michael running in circles and falling down laughing, or signing "No More Monkey's Jumping On The Bed" while doing just that on the bed! Jeremiah has been talking "big boy" talk more lately and I could sit for hours with him on my lap and letting him just talk to me. When did they get this big?!? I love those kids and I am thankful for such a good day with them. We have been trying to get back to normalcy with them with all the transitions and today felt normal.

During nap I cleaned most of the house. It takes alot longer to clean the house in one sitting here then it did back in Montgomery, so I think I am going to have to start implicating my weekly cleaning schedule again.

Tonight was special because Mike and I were able to start back date nights!!! yay! We found a great babysitter and we know that, especially now, we need to make a priority go out on more dates. So we found out Dublin as a Moes and we ate dinner then went off to a movie! It was a fun night and we are so thankful that Danielle babysat for us - the boys love her and call her "Ms. Daniel" (we are working on sounding out her name the right way!) She is very sweet, really good with the boys and my kitchen is clean when I get home! That makes me happy :)
