Day Two: January 2, 2011

Today was a very special day! We were blessed at FBC to have Ross and Kasey Lewis with us this morning. Ross and Kasey (http://rossandkaseylewis.blogspot.com/) are friends of ours from college and they are preparing to leave to go to be missionaries in Ukraine. Ross and Mike actually served together at a church while they were first in college and Ross is actually the one that gave FBC Mike's resume. (Ross used to be the youth pastor here).

Our church, like most SBC Churches, have been focusing on the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering this season and it was great to see, first hand, what our money goes to. It is because of the Cooperative Program and offerings like the Lottie Moon offering that people, like Ross and Kasey can go and be witnesses to the ends of the earth for the Lord (Acts 1:8). Theirs hearts are sweet and passionate for the Lord and His kingdom! They are self-sacrificial and have sold all of their possessions (minus 4 tupperwares of items) in preparation to go to Ukraine. We are blessed to know them and the people of Ukraine will be blessed to have them - we pray for them and we pray that the Lord's name will be proclaimed and that the people of Ukraine will call on His name! (Romans 10:13 “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.")

You can find more information on what they may be doing and what missionaries that are over there are already doing at http://www.reachukraine.org/.

After church took them to lunch with the Beall family. Our plans were to go to Cracker Barrel but the wait was 45 minutes!!! So, we walked across the street to Longhorns and enjoyed lunch with two sweet families.

The boys absolutely love Griffin and Collin! While we were waiting for the wait at Cracker Barrel they all climbed in the rockers. Collin is reading his Bible while the other three are rocking!

The boys are so sweet with my boys - they will help tie their shoe, or put them in the chairs, or just play with them!
I told Natalie (their mom) that there was going to come a day that Griffin would be too old and not want to play with the boys anymore. She assured me that wouldn't happen!
